Alongside experienced figures like Uwe Kamps, Michael Klinkert and Christian Hochstätter, the team combined talent, character and ambition.

The 1995 96 season followed the club’s DFB Pokal triumph in 1995, their first major trophy since 1979, and saw Gladbach competing with renewed confidence both domestically and in Europe.
