South Korea 1994 Retro Football Shirt
As South Korea continued to develop as a footballing force, appearances at World Cup tournaments were becoming more frequent, and they duly contested the 1994 edition in the USA under coach Kim Ho.
Drawn in a tough group, the Tigers Of Asia drew 2-2 with Spain and then 0-0 with Bolivia. Needing a win from their final game against Germany, the South Koreans trailed by three goals before battling back strongly to only lose narrowly, 3-2. Defender Hong Myung-bo was the unlikely creative star of the team, scoring two long-range goals and assisting Seo Jung-won for his nation’s equalizer against Spain.
