Juventus FC 1983 Away Retro Football Shirt
Winner of Serie A titles in both 1981 and 1982 and provider of the majority of players to the Italian national team which won the World Cup in the summer of 1982, Giovanni Trapattoni’s Juventus side approached the 1982-83 campaign as very firm favorites for every competition they entered.
It proved to be a season of narrow misses, however: the opportunity of a first-ever European Cup success was agonizingly squandered with defeat in the Final to Hamburg, this after their Serie A crown was surrendered to Roma. Some respite came with victory in the Coppa Italia thanks to a thrilling second-leg comeback to defeat Verona. Trailing by two goals from the first leg, the Turin giants turned it around at home to win 3-0 in extra time, with Michel Platini netting the winner in the very last minute.
