FC Porto 1957 Retro Football Jacket
FC Porto recovered in 1956 after a slow period in the immediate post-war era to take a first title since 1940. Another would follow in 1959; however, the previous season was a frustrating one as the club finished level with Sporting Clube on 43 points, but with an inferior goal difference that consigned them to the runners-up spot.
There was better news in the Taca de Portugal, with FC Porto winning the competition for just the second time in their history. Otto Bumbel’s side overcame great rivals Benfica in the Final thanks to a goal early in the second-half by Hernani.
