Red Star F.C. 1963 Retro Football Jacket

Chasing a return to Ligue 1 for the first time since 1950, Red Star's form this season never suggested that a promotion push was a genuine possibility. With the veteran ex-international striker René Bliard retiring in the summer of 1963, much of the attacking responsibility lay on the shoulders of his old partner Daniel Rodighiéro who did not disappoint.

Although Jean Avellaneda's side ended their Ligue 2 campaign in an ordinary eleventh place, Rodighiéro was their star performer and earned himself a move at the end of the season to Ligue 1 with Rennes. Red Star were not far behind and would secure their own elevation to the top-flight the very next season.
