Belgium 1960's Retro Football Shirt
There were fine players like Paul Van Himst, Leon Semeling, Jef Jurion, Wilfried Van Moer, and Raoul Lambert, but there was little to cheer for the Belgian national team during the 1960s. A failure to qualify for any significant international tournament meant Belgium's only title in this era was as 'world champions of friendlies'.
This was, of course, an unofficial title, one jokingly awarded to them following a 5-1 friendly win over world champions Brazil in 1963. The decade at least finished on a more positive note thanks to a successful qualification campaign that would take the Belgian national team to the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.
