Atletico de Madrid 1969 Retro Football Jacket
The 1969-70 season represented an outstanding debut for new coach and former player Marcel Domingo, who moved to take charge of Atlético Madrid from Granada.
With Luis Aragonés and José Gárate in imperious form up front, the 16 goals each scored over the campaign inspired the team to La Liga success, finishing just a point ahead of Athletic Bilbao.
This was the rojiblancos’s first title for four seasons and a big improvement on the sixth-placed finish in the previous campaign.
