The early 1990s was a good time for Eintracht Frankfurt with the club consistently competitive in the upper reaches of the Bundesliga. The 1990-91 season saw the club finish in 4th place on the back of exceptional home League form in which 4 goals or more were scored on no fewer than seven occasions.
Andreas Möller hit 16 League goals from midfield while the Ghanaian Tony Yeboah was developing into an ever more effective and prolific centre forward for the Eagles.
