The 1992-93 season was one of beginnings and endings for Nottingham Forest. This was the maiden season of the Premier League, and Forest started brightly with a 1-0 win over Liverpool; however, this was to be a rare highlight during a difficult season. While the Forest first team still contained fine players like Nigel Clough, Stuart Pearce, Mark Crossley, Ian Woan, and a young Roy Keane, the loss in the summer of Teddy Sheringham and Des Walker proved critical.
