SL Benfica 1962 - 63 Retro Football Jacket
The Chilean coach Fernando Riera took charge this season from the hugely celebrated Bela Guttmann and enjoyed a mixed season by the towering standards that Benfica set during the early 1960s.
The Portuguese title was won in some style with the goals of striker Torres leading Benfica to 23 wins and just a single defeat from their 26 League games. However, Taça de Portugal hopes were ended by Sporting Lisbon in the semi-finals and, critically, the Lisbon giants failed to win their third European Cup in succession when they went down to defeat in the Wembley final against Milan.
