Atlético Nacional 1980's Retro Football Jacket
Atlético Nacional started the 1980s with a domestic title in 1981 under Argentinian coach Zubeldia, the club’s fourth out of record-high seventeen titles. After a few quiet years the club ended the decade strongly with a rapid rise to continental prestige under coach Maturana.
Maturana assembled an all-star team featuring greats such as Higuita, Escobar, Alexis, Álvarez and Tréllez that took the club to its first ever Copa Libertadores success after a thrilling penalty shoot-out in the second leg against the Paraguayans of Club Olimpia.
