The extraordinary decade enjoyed by Torino throughout the 1970s reached its peak with the unforgettable Serie A title in the 1975 – 76 season. Appointed head coach at the start of the season, Gigi Radice led the Granata to the top of the table with a modern and effective style of football. After a remarkable comeback in the spring, Torino managed to overturn a five-point deficit to Juventus, eventually being crowned Italian champions with a two-point advantage over their Bianconeri rivals. It was a historic triumph, coming 27 years after the Superga air disaster. That season, Torino also won both matches of the Derby della Mole.

One of the team’s greatest strengths was its outstanding attacking line, driven by the perfect partnership between Paolo Pulici and Francesco Graziani. The legendary “Gemelli del Gol” combined for an incredible 36 league goals. Pulici alone scored 21 times, earning the prestigious Serie A top scorer award for the third time in his career.
