WIMBLEDON FC

Wimbledon FC represents the ultimate rags to riches story. A non-League team for much its history, the Dons were elected to the Football League in 1977 and began a meteoric rise through the divisions until they reached - and maintained their position in - the top flight in 1986.

The highlight of those famous Crazy Gang years came in 1988 with a remarkable, against-all-odds FA Cup Final win over Liverpool.
