TOULOUSE FC

After years away from the top flight, Toulouse FC reclaimed their place among France’s elite in 1982. Led by former player Pierre Cahuzac, the newly promoted side quickly established themselves in Ligue 1 and secured a highly respectable 11th-place finish in their first season back.

Experienced internationals Gérard Soler, Christian Lopez, Jean-Marc Ferratge and Hungarian midfielder Károly Csapó brought quality and composure to the team, while also helping to nurture the emerging talent of young midfield prodigy Jean-Philippe Durand.
