Berchem Sport 1982 - 83 Retro Football Shirt
For the 1982/83 season Berchem Sport hoped to regain the Belgian top-flight place the club had lost in 1981. In the previous campaign, the club had finished in a respectable fifth place, but this season did not bring the improvement that coach Raoul Peeters was hoping for.
The influential Stan van den Buys left the club and despite the efforts of forward Harry van den Ham, Dick Advocaat, and former PSV player Paul Postuma, goals were hard to come by, and a 14th-placed Division II finish was the result.
